Self-tapping thread insert for repairing defective M6 threads.
The thread works in aluminum.
The broken thread must be drilled out to Ø 8 mm so that the thread insert can be mounted. The external thread cuts a new, firm hold when screwed into the aluminum. Ideally, the bushing should also be secured with Loctite.
