Sigg’s wrenching events – what are they?
Some things you only really understand once you’ve held the tool in your own hands. That’s exactly what the Siggnature Bikes DIY events are all about.
Sigg and his team will show you how to carry out work on your moped properly. Explained in a way that’s easy to understand. Right there on the moped. And with plenty of time for you to try out the techniques yourself.
It’s not just about tinkering. It’s also about chatting with others, working on joint projects and having a good time in the workshop. Whether you’re just starting out or already work on your moped regularly: here you can build up your knowledge, ask questions and learn new techniques.
You decide what suits your project: in the mechanics course, you’ll learn a selected topic step by step. In the Open Garage, you’ll work on your own moped project on a reserved lifting platform.
DIY courses
Each mechanics course focuses on a specific topic. Sigg first explains the key basics to you and demonstrates the individual steps directly on the moped. You then pick up the tools yourself and put what you’ve learnt into practice under supervision. This ensures it’s not just dry theory.
The topics range from an emergency breakdown course and regular maintenance to a full engine overhaul. You’ll learn to systematically troubleshoot faults, spot wear and tear at an early stage, and carry out typical tasks properly. This includes, amongst other things, checking the brakes, lights, cables, chains, bearings and ignition. Cleaning, lubrication and oil changes are also explained clearly.
The courses take place in small groups. This ensures there is plenty of time for questions, practising individual techniques and sharing tips with one another. After all, as well as working on the bikes, we want to make sure there’s plenty of time to socialise in the workshop.

Open Garage
Do you have a project of your own but don’t have enough space at home? Or would you like to work in a proper workshop?
At the Open Garage, you can book one of six lifting platforms and bring your own moped. Then it’s up to you: tinker, adjust, assemble and finally get on with the work that’s been waiting for a while.
Sigg or someone from his team will be on hand to help with any minor queries. However, the Open Garage isn’t a guided course. You’ll work independently on your project and decide what gets done that day.
