The starting shot is fired in Bützberg
Motorex has its roots in Bützberg. Today, however, the renowned manufacturer is based in Langenthal. The company was founded in Bützberg by Fritz Jenzer in 1917 and initially specialised in leather and floor care products. The company moved into its first company building in 1944 in what is now the Langenthal industrial estate. During this time, the REX brand name developed into the now world-famous MOTOREX name. From then on, the manufacturer increasingly focussed on the production of lubricants. The Swiss-made oils and lubricants quickly made a name for themselves and today enjoy an excellent reputation both at home and abroad. Motorex is now the largest Swiss manufacturer of lubricants and oils and exports its products to 75 countries.
