First-class two-wheeler components since 1899
The company was founded in 1899 by Wilhelm Feuerhake in Fröndenberg, Germany, and initially specialised in the manufacture of pedal chains for bicycles. Two years later, the company set up its own factory and gradually expanded its range to include other products. This led to the founding of UNION Gesellschaft für Metallindustrie mbH in 1905 and the production of bicycle pedals from the end of that year. From 1937, bicycle pedals with reflectors were manufactured at Union and production was gradually expanded in the following decades to include products for the increasingly popular moped; in addition to pedals, the portfolio now also included hubs and spokes. In the 1990s, the brand relocated significant parts of its production to the Czech Republic. The company has been part of the Marwi Group since 1995. Today, the company sells over 380,000 pairs of pedals every year, but Marwi Union's portfolio also includes spokes, nipples and chains.
