Complete torque converter unit, equipped with Ø 96 mm swiing® ingenious torque converter pulleys and NewFren starterbeltsägen, suitable for your Piaggio Ciao, Si, Bravo and Boxer moped / moped with variomatic transmission.
High-quality oil seals, correctly installed shim washers, lubricated needle bearings, a precisely fitting bearing bush and a correctly milled keyway in the torque converter bell characterize this torque converter clutch.
The angles and shapes of the torque converter pulleys have been optimized to perfection in order to get the maximum speed out of the variator. Special care has been taken to ensure that the belt path on the pulleys is perfectly matched to racing variators, so that you can achieve top speeds even with short gear ratios of 12.5/1, 13.3/1 and 14.8/1. The high-quality surface coating makes a decisive contribution to smooth and even operation.
Thanks to the chosen diameter of Ø 96 mm, no major adjustments to the frame, transducer or pulleys are necessary and contribute to a satisfying plug & play feel. After all, no one wants to work on the frame of a Ciao with a bench grinder such as those from Dremel or Proxxon.
Note: The required belt length in combination with a racing vario is 950 mm (rear engine position) to 975 mm (front engine position) for the Ciao. For Piaggio Si models from 1134 mm to 1143 mm.
The installed counter-pressure spring corresponds to the original in terms of spring force. For a higher starting speed, you can replace this with a higher version as required. When fitting, make sure that the spring clip does not protrude too far into the pulley and could damage the belt.
